Who we are
About Bay Area Med Spa Guide
An independent directory and guide to medical aesthetics providers across the San Francisco Bay Area — built to make treatment research and clinic comparison easier for patients, and to give clinics a straightforward way to be found.
What this site is
Bay Area Med Spa Guide is a directory and content site covering med spas, injectable providers, laser and body-contouring clinics, and longevity/wellness practices across the South Bay and Peninsula. It combines a real provider directory (sourced from public Google Maps data and clinic self-submissions — see our methodology) with treatment guides, real Bay Area pricing, and clinic comparisons, organized around what a patient actually needs to decide where to go and a clinic owner actually needs to be found by the right patients.
Why the Bay Area, specifically
National directories treat every U.S. market the same way. The Bay Area has its own pricing patterns, its own dense competitive landscape (San Jose alone has more medical aesthetics practices than most entire metro areas), and its own neighborhoods where a 10-minute difference in drive time meaningfully changes which clinics make sense. This site is built narrow and deep for this one region instead of broad and shallow across the whole country.
Who runs it
Bay Area Med Spa Guide is built and maintained by a small, independent editorial team based in the South Bay — not owned by, or affiliated with, any clinic, device manufacturer, or medical group. Clinics can pay for Featured or Sponsored placement, and every paid placement is clearly labeled as such; it never changes a clinic's underlying rating, review count, or how it's described in editorial content. Full detail on how listings, ranking, and paid placement work is on the methodology page.
What this site is not
Nothing here is medical advice. Treatment guides, pricing information, and clinic listings are editorial and informational — a starting point for research, not a substitute for a real consultation with a licensed medical provider. Individual results, appropriate candidacy for any treatment, and final pricing depend on your specific anatomy, health history, and goals.
